World Book Day Fun At Park |
To celebrate World Book Day The Park Community School enjoyed a glorious array of character costumes from both students and staff. English Teacher Ms Emily Woods said “We had all sorts from Book Fairies, Harry Potters and Dr Whos to metaphorical War and Peace and characters from Jurassic Park (that's right - there's a book!). U13 North Devon Netball Tournament 2020 |
On Wednesday 4th March, 2020 our year 8 Netball team had their North Devon Netball Tournament. Another sporting fixture taking place in awful weather conditions, the girls played really well. We had an A and a B team tournament running alongside each other. The A team finished 4th in their tournament, with the B team winning theirs by a long way. Well done girls! |

On Sunday 1st March 2020, Park School competed in the North Devon Schools Gymnastics competition held at Kingsley School, Bideford. Fifty gymnasts took part and what an amazing day it was! Youth Speaks is an opportunity for young people to develop the ability to speak on a public platform, carry out research and formulate ideas, improve self-confidence and presentation skills, and work as a team. Both teams of year 10 students were successful in completing the challenge as complete teams. The students are to be congratulated for the way they conducted themselves throughout the Challenge period. The weather over the weekend was cloudy and warm on Saturday, with a steady wind. Exmoor Challenge |
Congratulations to the students who took part in the Exmoor Challenge last weekend The Exmoor Challenge is a 16 mile timed walk around the area near Dulverton, Tarr Steps and Anstey Common. Competitors must navigate and travel between check points within a certain time. The route must take no more than 5 hours. The weather was lovely, not too hot and not too cold with barely any rain.
