On Monday 17th June 2013, Park School entered two teams in the Devon Schools Beach Volleyball Championships which were held on Croyde beach. Teams came from across the county including two schools from Exeter (St Peters and St Lukes), Torrington School, Kings School in Ottery St Mary, Plymstock and Pilton.

The weather was a challenge during the group stages in the morning, but by the afternoon and the finals stages, the weather had become much more pleasant allowing the players of all age categories to play at a very high standard.

Our teams, Sophie Watts and Helen Farr (Team A), and Chloe Sloman and Niamh Marshall (team B), finished the day in very respectable third and seventh positions respectively.  By coming third Sophie and Helen have qualified to play at Sandbanks in Dorset in the South West Schools Beach Volleyball Championships, so an extra special congratulations to them.

All four of the girls represented the school and themselves in a hugely positive way by competing hard, winning and losing with grace and officiating fairly.
