Mr Marks had the pleasure of taking the Year 11 rugby team to a County Rugby 7s competition, featuring some of the best rugby schools in Devon. After three outstanding pool matches against Torquay Boys’ Grammar School, Ivybridge College, and Kingsbridge School, Park finished joint top of our pool. Unfortunately, due to point difference, we were placed in the plate competition. In the semi-final, the boys delivered an awesome performance defeating Kingsley Rugby Academy 14-12. In the final against Uffculme School, after a challenging first half, Park were trailing 26-7, then came together with grit and determination, turning the game around to win 31-33. Mr Marks describes the team as “not only exceptional rugby players but outstanding humans.” Saying “it was an absolute pleasure to take them to the event, and they represented the school with great pride.” What a fantastic achievement.
