On Friday 9th, the amazing 7MJ brought in a wide variety of fantastic home-made cakes and bakes to sell to the school. There was also a luxury hot chocolate sale – and at one point, students were queuing out of the door for the whipped cream and marshmallow delights!
They gave up all lunchtime to raise a whopping £140.65 for the Royal Marines Charity – we are extremely proud of them!
8HU also held a cake sale in aid of the The Royal Marines Charity. 8HU tutees had bought in a wide range of cakes and biscuits to sell which were all laid out at the very start of lunch, ready to be bought and eaten. 8HU gave up their lunchtime to sell the cakes in MFL2 with some then going out and around school to sell more. There was a steady stream of customers throughout lunchtime with prices ranging from 20p to 80p. Some deals were made, a lot of cakes were sold and with 5 minutes to go, they sold their last cake! In total they raised £124 which is phenomenal for one lunchtime, so thank you so much to 8HU for hosting and participating in such a successful event and thank you to everyone who came and bought cakes.
Well done to 10RK who raised £49.51 and 8ES who also took part in cake sales to raise money for Fortescue’s chosen charity, the Royal Marines Charity.
