On Thursday 11th January 42 students from Years 11, 10 and 9 travelled to Bristol Old Vic to see a new interpretation of Franz Kafka’s ‘Metamorphosis’ by the world-renowned British company Frantic Assembly.

Trips to see live theatre performances are an essential part of studying GCSE Drama and  it was great to hear KS4 students analysing and evaluating a really challenging production with some very complex themes.

It was also superb that so many Y9 students opted to come out of curiosity and/or a desire to challenge themselves beyond the usual material of KS3.

Their behaviour when travelling and in the theatre was exemplary and we look forward to arranging our next theatre trip!
