Key Stage 3 Prefects

The new and exciting role of the Key Stage 3 Prefect has been developed to showcase their talents as role models, mentors, and representatives for their peers in younger year groups.  In addition, this role is a perfect precursor for all students with aspirations of attaining a Head Prefect position at Key Stage 4.

One role of Key Stage 3 Prefects is to work with the transition team, to help new Year 7 students feel welcomed and integrated into the Park School school community. Key Stage 3 Prefects assist by visiting primary schools, support during transition days, and offering ongoing support to their peers in the lower school.

In addition, from the start of the next academic year – September 2025, they will play an active role in organising activities specifically for Year 7 students, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging participation.

Key Stage 3 Prefects collaborate closely with the Year 10 and 11 Head Prefects in their respective House, working to support the House and School Councils, ensuring a student voice, enhancing the school experience for all students in .

Key Stage 4 Prefects

Prefects are selected in Year 10 for the Summer term of Year 10 and the whole of Year 11. Their job is to help the House and School to run more effectively. They all do duties and have a crucial role as role models and students who can be looked to as being trustworthy and reliable. Being a Prefect allows students to take on responsibility and shows other students, teachers, parents/carers, colleges and future employers that they are a person who is prepared to give something back to their community.

Year 10 students can apply to be a Prefect as part of their PSHEE programme.
