A group of volunteers helped to prepare our wildflower meadow earlier in the year – thanks to Mr Tamlyn and family, Miss Borbely, Chris Gosney who enjoyed using the turf-cutter (loaned for free from Speedy Tool Hire), and of course our wonderful Miss Harvey who organised the venture. Thanks also Ms George, Mr Plaza, Ms Hadfield, Ms Dee Wilkey-Johnson and Miss Harvey who then removed excess grass, weeded and sowed the wildflower seed.

Money for seed was donated by North Devon Biosphere and Tarka Country Trust and seeds were donated from Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

We think it’s going to get more beautiful as the summer goes on and we’re sure the bees are enjoying it!
