Year 9 Options

Please find a wide range of information on this webpage regarding the Year 9 Options process for 2024 that supports the Year 9 Options Booklet which is available here.  Options Google Forms are to be completed by Monday 5th February.  Please see links to the forms below.

Key Dates

Wednesday 3rd January 2024 – Options booklets emailed home and available electronically via our website.  Please contact reception if you would like a hard-copy.

Wednesday 10th January 2024 – Options Assembly.

January 2024 – Tutorial programme with tutors and careers staff begins.

Thursday 18th January 2024 – Face to Face Options Evening – School Hall. 5:00pm – 6:30pm – Parents and Students are invited in to talk to subject leads and see the work on show.

Monday 5th February 2024 – Options Google Forms to be completed by Monday 5th February. If you would like to complete a paper form, please give it to your tutor by Monday 5th February.

From Monday 26th February 2024  – Every student will have an Options Interview to discuss their choices and make any changes/alterations based on further information provided by teachers and students.

Easter Holidays – Mr Tamlyn will be looking at subject numbers and possible groupings for the development of the timetable.

May Half Term – Allocation of students to teaching groups and timetable completion.  Choices confirmed and issued to students and parents/carers.
