On Sunday we took 13 Year 10 students for their first experience of Dartmoor. We were due to walk on Saturday with the other 11 of this year’s cohort, however due to Storm Bert’s arrival we decided to postpone that till next week. It was a perfect Dartmoor day. We had a lot of water underfoot, wind howling through, bogs and flooded water crossings. The students were absolutely brilliant, cheerful for the most despite the weather, grateful to us for taking them and also eager to learn new skills. Thanks as always to the other staff who give up their time and the parents who also supported us at the weekend. Hopefully the next walk will be a little drier!
