Rugby is known for its rough and tough action and girls rugby is no exception! 10 of our Year 7 & 8’s took part in the U13’s Girls Rugby Festival on the 28th January. The weather conditions were horrendous but it had been cancelled once before and we were determined to play some rugby!

The morning was spent in rugby workshops learning some skills of the game where the biggest lesson learnt ended up being how to power on through sideways rain! At lunchtime we were treated to a special appearance of the Women’s World Cup and raised a lot of excitment. After lunch, the 9 teams played a tournament in which Park did very well and finished 3rd. Considering the weather conditions, the girls got stuck in and the morning was soon forgotten about and the girls finished the day with big smiles on their faces!
