On Wednesday 22nd April 2015, Andrew Morgan 9MR, Jonas Hackney-Davies 9LC, Joanne Roper 8DA and Hadeel Abed 8KV, competed in the Regional UKMT Maths Challenge held at the Guildhall in Plymouth. The regional challenge consisted of four separate rounds where students had to solve mathematical puzzles on a range of different topics in a set time limit.
The team competed against 20 other schools to finish in 3rd place. It was a sterling performance from our team, who should be congratulated for this achievement.
The students were accompanied by Maths teachers Sarah Wadham and Gary Ratcliffe who were delighted with the results, and said “The maths challenge results lead us to be optimistic for next year’s Year 10 Challenge”.
