To celebrate World Book Day The Park Community School enjoyed a glorious array of character costumes from both students and staff.

English Teacher Ms Emily Woods said “We had all sorts from Book Fairies, Harry Potters and Dr Whos to metaphorical War and Peace and characters from Jurassic Park (that’s right – there’s a book!). Students were also treated around the school to hearing teachers talk about their favourite books and why they love to read. There was an ‘our tutor group as a book’ competition which asked children to create a poster of a book which best represented them and was a lovely opportunity to talk about books while getting creative. The whole day had a really great atmosphere and we’re already planning our costumes for next year, so watch out!”
