Y7’s improve their ‘Bikeability’

Y7’s improve their ‘Bikeability’

Over the past couple of weeks 45 of our year 7 students have had the opportunity to sharpen their cycling skills and ensure that they improve their road awareness and safety.

During the course the students have learned to;

  • Prepare for a journey
  • Understand advanced road positioning
  • Pass queueing traffic
  • Perceive and deal with hazards
  • Understand driver blind spots
  • React to hazardous road surfaces

A big thank you to Jase and his instructors. The feedback from our students has been great and they have improved their confidence greatly.

Bikeability is the government’s national cycle training programme. It helps you learn practical skills and understand how to cycle on today’s roads. Bikeability gives everyone the confidence to cycle and enjoy this skill for life.
