The Art department has enjoyed two spectacular trips over the past two weeks as we took 100 Year 10 GCSE Photographers and Artists into Barnstaple for a cultural experience! They fully engaged in the trip activities and are now looking forward to developing their work back in the classroom!

The day started with a visit to The Holy Trinity Church for some architectural photography and drawing followed by a visit to the Pannier Market, Museum of North Devon and Studio Kind.

The students were congratulated for their exemplary behaviour and amazing talents by the staff in the church.  In addition, the 10A groups had an unexpected tour of the Almshouses on Litchdon Street by an amazing chap called Alan. If you haven’t had an opportunity to explore this historical part of Barnstaple it is well worth a visit!

Surprisingly, we had sun on both days making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
