Friends of Park

Friends of Park

Friends of Park, Park Schools’ Parent, Teacher and Friend Association, raises vital funds for our school. We meet once every half term, on the second Monday at 5pm in school to organise and support fundraising events, such as the Year 7 Treasure Hunt, Christmas plays and concerts, Christmas and Summer Raffles and the Summer Fayre. We would love to see new parents and carers at our meetings and welcome any ideas or help that you might be able to offer. Our meetings normally last around an hour or so, and we don’t ask you to commit to every meeting and every event, just help out where and when you can.

School Lottery

A large part of our fundraising has been achieved by our community’s support of the Lottery – you can sign up via the link below. Entry is £1 per week and 40% comes back to Friends of Park. We have over 1200 families at The Park Community School and if every family joined the Lottery we could support more student activities in and out of school and the potential weekly prize fund could grow to approximately £350.

Easy Fundraising

When shopping online, shop through Easy Fundraising who have over 7000 brands registered with them, choose The Park Community School as your cause and you will donate to the school at no cost to yourself – your fellow supporters have raised over £300 in this way for school projects

Friends of Park have had great success raising funds for projects to enrich the school environment. Projects supported recently include:

Helping a group of students attend Commonwealth Day in March 2023

The purchase of picnic benches for the outside areas

Sports Leader Hoodies

GCSE Art’s Artist Visit project

Blast chiller for the Tech Department

Specialist Maths equipment

Support for school clubs like the Gardening Club and the Breakfast Club.

The new shelter area for the Year 7 Quad

Lego STEM Club

Providing surf boards, wet suits and teacher training in support of the Surf Club
